By learning C# you will already know a good portion of C++, I don't know how much exactly but my guess by looking at the microsoft comparison is that they are very much similar, therefor by learning to ride a motorcycle on can transfer their newfound skills of balance to riding a bicycle.

I side with konr. You don't have to learn C++ to learn C#.

even if by learning C# you learn a little of C++, which is not really true, you just learn general programming and maybe the usage of some shared or similar libraries with C++, you are not learning C++ nor it's basic sintaxis. You might end up with some knowledge that can help you to learn C++ ahead but nothing more.

C# is pretty different from c++. Its not like c where if you know c++ you basically know c with a few differences.
