I'm just wearing them in my room, not going outside with them. I don't like using wires when I'm using my tablet.

if you dont want to follow this word for word fine , but at least take the headphones under your price range for consideration.
the MDR-V6 are only $68 on amazon, and they're close to an industry standard because of how much they are used, if you really like bass though, save up a bit more get and the ATH-M50 because they're a bit less flat. I wouldnt recommend anything on the guide before the MDR-V6 unless you're a super jew.

The price has increased since last year same model used to be $99 now its like 140 becuzsoo gud

well the only reason they're recommended is because they used to be cheaper, but if he wants something with bass then the M50 are the only thing worth getting that is close to his price range, the next step up would be the DT 770 but thats another $50 and you'd want to amp those

My family had plans to buy me some headphones of my choice, but they looked around, saw a few bad reviews on the build quality for these, and said no. Now they plan to buy me some Beats or Panasonic headphones, ignoring all me.

almost every headphones in the sub $150 range will have some bad shit to say about build quality on reviews
try the AKG K-240, it has a detachable cord that can be replaced, and the pads can be switched out, the 2 main things that can break with headphones.
