Nixon watches are pieces of crap and those 2 are just big hunks of cheap metal that are pretty unattractive.

I stated why that particular argument is at least partially invalid. It is nearly impossible to tune to all fifths and not have problems somewhere, now I can play with normal tension and perfect intonation. Being able to play in drop G and A with normal tension is awesome too, and switching between them all(especially standard to russian, or all fifths or all fourths) in a couple seconds is fucking brilliant. |
not to burst your bubble but it would probably be more worth your time and money to spend 500 bucks on a normal guitar of much higher quality and acquire the skills to tune it properly. I know this isn't a great analogy but there's a reason why classical string players don't use instruments that tune themselves, because it's cheating.
If you're dead-set on getting the autotune guitar, do what you'd like, but I suggest you put a lot of thought into what having it is going to be like. Having a guitar that plays 100% in tune 100% of the time is not exactly the most hardcore route to take. |
I do have a nice guitar, and I'm not exactly new to guitar or music in general. I can tune just fine and it sounds amazing, it just takes absolutely forever to tune it, because it has a floyd rose. I want this as a secondary guitar that I can also experiment with. Just having a guitar that can hold all fifths in perfect intonation is amazing enough on its own. Not to sound like "that guy" or anything, but do you play music? I'm pretty much asking so I can know whether or not you understand what I mean when I use certain terms.
Also, it isn't like vocal autotune that latches you into a specific key, it just retunes the guitar. And you know guitars don't have to be in standard right? |
Bit late of a reply, but I play the french horn. I personally like to think that I'm good at music. |
