In CE 6.2's memory scan options, was the "writable" checkbox greyed out before you made your scan?
if yes: there is indeed something odd happening.
if no: it's normal that you didn't find your code in CE 6.2 because you've asked to scan only memory regions that are writable and code sections are not writable (unless they are compressed/encrypted). Uncheck "writable" or put it in greyed out state and you will find your aob in CE6.2.
