I have a pretty small laptop screen, it's like 1366 by 768, and I was wondering why I can't just use software to make windows think it can output 1080p, then sort of scale down the video output to match my 768p screen.
I'm aware I'd lose a ton of detail, but if I just increase the resolution by a bit I'm sure I could get more real-estate out of my screen at the cost of lost pixels.
Does anything like this exist?
I know I can use vmware to run a vm at 1080p and then scale the video... |
