I'm saying, meanwhile voldemort and that beard principal were fighting harry could have simply shot voldemort, not like he's fast enough to evade it, or fuck, snipe him.

There's actually an answer to this. In book one, when Hagrid visits the Dursley's for the very second time (on Harry's birthday. First time was when he dropped the baby Harry off on their porch), Vernon pulls out a shotgun in his defense, but Hagrid folds the muzzle, rendering the shotgun useless. The implication Rowling was trying to make was that muggle weaponry (and muggles in general) is powerless against wizards and magic.
You guys have seen the first movie at the least I'm sure. Remember that rainy scene? |
