Elise isn't an ap mid and two deathcaps is not very good. You should have gotten a GA/BV or if you REALLY wanted extra damage, an archangel staff. But NEVER a second deathcap.
It's just like IE but worse. The unique passive on DCap is stupidly strong and the reason it's worth so much gold. To get a second deathcap wastes sooo much money.

if you get an archangel that late in the game, that's pretty stupid.

archangel is usually for bigger mana pool but Tweested feed doesn't need it since blue cards and blue buff is good
necrobook isn't good
should of sold it and went either DFG or another doomcap.

I suppose AA was a bad example, but there are still many better options than another deathcap. 3600 to pay for 182 AP isn't worth it when you already have as much as he did at that point in the game. DFG would have been a good alternative. Zhonya's probably the best option now that I think about it.

deathcap is the most ap you'll get out of an item at that point in the game. zhonya's isn't much of a TF item, seeing as he isn't high priority late game. qss or GA is far better since it doesn't assume the enemy team is trying to focus you down in the first place. it just assumes he shouldn't die, which he shouldn't.
the real issue with his build is the evil tome.
at this elo i'd just get kage's & mejai's early to become most effective. yeah, mejai's assumes you're doing well, but most of the time you will since it's AP TF in potato elo.

Not sure if you fought on the recent "Pick a Card" trick from reddit. But hischu/biscuit apparently discovered a trick on how to constantly pick a type of card(constant gold or blue or red). With enough practice you can predict which card is shown next just as his Misaya played tf(one of the if not the best tf in the world).
There are plenty of tutorials in youube once the method was exploited. Cant give you youtube link since I'm on a tablet but please do look around.

you could argue that on just about any champion. but you can't really ask other people how you can improve on your mechanics, which is why people generally receive help on their build instead. I also feel like item build is more important on TF compared to other AP casters, considering how his kit works and if you build him just like any other AP, you're probably doing it wrong.

I'd actually rather him worry about his item builds than Misaya level TF mastery. His mechanics will just come with him playing more.
Remember, those players have 3 years of experience over these new players. Whilst me and you might understand the concepts and be able to practice stuff like this, there's no need for newer players to even be thinking about that kind of intricate gameplay yet.
