Trying to make a youtube account to upload music and it wants to use my full name as the display name and it won't let me put in stuff like Music or other common words.
So how the fuck do musicians and bands get regular old usernames?

They log out of their fucking GMAIL, make a YouTube account manually and then attach it. It's like you have only used the internet since you made this CEF account.

Yep. When you make it, it will use the name you used behind the gmail bit. You can then attach Gmail accounts.

What you call the GMAIL account makes no difference, after you create your gmail you can create as many ytube accounts as you wish.
