math is universal unlike language, the reason niggas suck shit at english is because they grew up using a different set of rules for talking, while everyone grows up with numbers very similar and with very similar structure. you dont have to think about putting personality into math like english and you dont have to think about things differently from others like with science subjects, its all taught so that everyone does things the same with math.
i never bothered remembering my times tables, but ill do math better than most the fucks my age that did bother doing silly shit like that, because no where in math shit do you have to 'remember' anything, you just follow the set of rules given
you helping that chick, its good that you didnt know at first, you could look at it at a new perspective and show her how to do it from reasoning rather than from the already predetermined set of rules, which helped her because if she couldnt grasp what was already taught she'd need some new way to look at it |
