Sure when people say something negative you can ignore it because its not for them, but if someone says something positive it makes you feel good that they enjoyed it

I wear clothing because it serves a purpose, tattoos don't, I dont wear clothing because it looks good, for me or anyone else.

You're giving examples of people who got tattoos for specific things, those things happened and you wouldnt forget such meaningful things, so why get a tattoo, how can ink on your skin express emotion at all, if you get a RIP MOM tattoo its because you want people to notice, or to show them your tribute, its not like the dead person can see it, and if you got a tattoo for someone alive, you're doing it for them and yourself.

Im not a tattoo hater, I plan on getting one myself, yes it will have meaning for me, but id enjoy it a lot more if someone notices it and can relate with me, the tattoo's themself dont do anything, their meaning counts, but no one gets it when the meaning is solely for themself. Maybe im not getting my point across completely, tattoos can have a meaning for yourself, but thats not the only reason you get them, and when op in this thread stated he only wanted it for himself I wanted to let him know that tattoos will be for others.

even if you did get a tattoo for ONLY yourself , people will like it and make note of it, its impossible to get a tattoo for only yourself because they're out in the open and if they are hidden they can be talked about. Im sure your intentions can be for yourself originally, but tattoos are forever and they become part of your image which others see. and when you get a tattoo, that is the reason and you know that will happen, you know it will be talked about and people will notice it, whether you care or not doesn't matter, its still being shown to others and youre still making a statement

Even though I wear clothing solely because its required doesn't mean people wont take what I wear and say its my style or fashion.

Honestly I love the foxhound thing so much. More than a shitty bar. Seriously the bar seems like it will be just a bunch of ink in one line you're paying for. Get a giant "G" on your chest. Use the logo on your album art.

The reason I'd get a tattoo is because of something I love very much. The awesome foxhound logo, for example.
