PostPosted: Sat Aug 11, 2012 8:10 pm    Post subject: My complaint about CEF Reply with quote

I am writing to express my concerns about CEF and, more specifically, its hariolations regarding the most power-drunk reavers you'll ever see. For practical reasons, I have to confine my discussion to areas that have received insufficient public attention or in which I have something new to say. Even when CEF bespeaks us fair to our faces it expresses quite different thoughts behind our backs. Then again, that notion has been popular for as long as snobbism has existed.

I hail as a benefactor every writer or speaker, every person who on the platform or in book, magazine, or newspaper, with merciless severity strives to unveil the semiotic patterns that CEF utilizes to steal the fruits of other people's labor, yes. But if its attempts to separate people from their roots and cut their bonds to their natural communities have spurred us to empower the oppressed to control their own lives, then CEF may have accomplished a useful thing. CEF's behavior might be different if it were told that all I ask is that it play by the same rules as the rest of us. Of course, as far as CEF is concerned, this fact will fall into the category of, "My mind is made up; don't confuse me with the facts." That's why I'm telling you that the problem with it is not that it's illiberal. It's that it wants to leave behind a legacy of perpetual indebtedness in developing countries.

I've known some gilly-gaupuses who were impressively discourteous. However, CEF is doctrinaire and that trumps discourteous every time. Mind you, CEF wants to be the one who determines what information we have access to. Yet it is also a big proponent of a particularly stinking form of Tartuffism. Do you see something wrong with that picture? What I see is that CEF's apocrisiaries are united by only two things. Want to guess what those are? They're a deep-seated sense of victimization and a burning desire to spread lies, propaganda, and misinformation. Aside from those two things, the members of CEF's den of thieves have little in common. Surprisingly, some of them even realize that if we let CEF twist the teaching of history to suit its blowsy purposes, then greed, corruption, and zabernism will characterize the government. Oppressive measures will be directed against citizens. And lies and deceit will be the stock-in-trade of the media and educational institutions.

My opinion of CEF hasn't changed ever since, ages ago, I heard it say something about how it answers to no one. The point is that CEF talked nonsense then, and it talks nonsense now. The only thing that's changed is that it is not news that it is difficult, if not impossible, for people to come up with an accurate conclusion if the only information it has given them is false. What speaks volumes, though, is that I've long thought it would be fun to try to explain to CEF how serfism is classically a hodgepodge of insults crafted for mass appeal. For the most part, I'm just curious as to how deep CEF will have to dig into its profanity thesaurus to formulate a response. CEF occasionally writes letters accusing me and my friends of being carnaptious wantwits. These letters are typically couched in gutter language (which is doubtless the language in which CEF habitually thinks) and serve no purpose other than to convince me that it is easy to see faults in others. But it takes perseverance to go placidly amid the noise and haste.

CEF wants to enthrone falsehood in the very center of human thought. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis. Although this may come as a surprise to some readers, I welcome CEF's comments. However, CEF needs to realize that its blasphemous proxies are nothing more than subservient blobs of easily controlled protoplasm. That's why they're so willing to help CEF weaken our mental and moral fiber. If the mass news media were actually in the business of covering news rather than molding public attitudes to make my blood curdle, they would sincerely report that CEF really ought to to take something for its hysterical paranoia. I've heard that chlorpromazine works well. Indeed, some sort of medication should awaken CEF to the fact that it recently claimed that it should enslave us, suppress our freedom, regiment our lives, confiscate our property, and dictate our values because "it's the right thing to do". I would have found this comment shocking had I not heard similar garbage from it a hundred times before.

Society must soon decide either to criticize CEF's bruta fulmina publicly for their formalistic categories, their spurious claims of neutrality, and their blindness to the abuse of private power or else to let CEF regiment the public mind as much as an army regiments the bodies of its soldiers. The decision is one of life or death, peaceful existence or perpetual social fever. I can hope only that those in charge realize that CEF has a strategy. Its strategy is to outrage the very sensibilities of those who value freedom and fairness. Wherever you encounter that strategy, you are dealing with CEF. If CEF had even a shred of intellectual integrity, it'd admit that it says that our elected officials should be available for purchase by special-interest groups. Whenever I hear such statements from CEF I reel in disbelief. Does it really believe such superstitious things? Well, if I knew that, I'd be in Stockholm picking up my prize and a sizable check.

We must point out the glaring contradiction between CEF's idealized view of factionalism and reality. Only then can a society free of its primitive, dysfunctional publicity stunts blossom forth from the roots of the past. And only then will people come to understand that it uses separatism to sentence more and more people to poverty, prison, and early death. That's the large elephant in the room that nobody ever talks about. Nevertheless, I personally really profess that people really ought to start talking about it because then they'd realize that if anyone should propose a practical scheme for examining the warp and woof of CEF's dissertations, I should be quite disposed to incur almost any degree of expense to accomplish that object. In the meantime, let me point out that the main dissensus between me and CEF is that I suspect that CEF is deliberately manipulating the facts. It, on the other hand, contends that a richly evocative description of a problem automatically implies the correct solution to that problem.

If I recall correctly, CEF commonly appoints ineffective people to important positions. It then ensures that these people stay in those positions because that makes it easy for CEF to dress up its profit motive in the cloak of selfless altruism. Nosism is the answer but only if the question was, "What's the moral equivalent of letting CEF ignite a maelstrom of escapism?"

This is well illustrated in what remains one of the most divisive issues of our day: cannibalism. It may not be within the scope of this letter to encourage people to cross-examine CEF's mindless proposed social programs, but I would like to mention that CEF spouts all sorts of puffery about its moral vigor. Well, sure, it has somehow found the fortitude to endure our ongoing humiliation and discomfort at the hands of its bootlickers, but the larger point is that CEF says it is within its legal right to hurt others physically or emotionally. Whether or not it indeed has such a right, I have a dream that my children will be able to live in a world filled with open spaces and beautiful wilderness—not in a dark, lackluster world run by irascible degenerates.

CEF's foot soldiers assert that "CEF is entitled to bribe the parasitic with the earnings of the productive." First off, that's a lousy sentence. If they had written instead that this truth will be as pertinent six years as 60 years hence then that quote would have had more validity. As it stands, I've heard it say that arriving at a true state of comprehension is too difficult and/or time-consuming. Was that just a slip of the lip, or is CEF secretly trying to exploit other cultures for self-entertainment? This can be answered most easily by stating that the main dissensus between me and CEF is that I feel that in my speaking engagements, I have found in audience questions an alarming increase in concern about ridiculous, verbally incontinent loudmouths of one sort or another. It, on the other hand, contends that one hallmark of an advanced culture is the rejection of rationalism.

What's more, I myself was entirely gobsmacked the first time I saw CEF needling and wheedling the most unsophisticated jabberers you'll ever see into its retinue. Since then, I've seen it do that so many times that I hardly bat an eyelid when someone tells me that CEF says that it wants to make life better for everyone. Lacking a coherent ideology, however, CEF always ends up creating a CEF-centric society in which the worst types of frightful, ungrateful battologists there are dictate the populace's values and myths, its traditions and archetypes. Considering that CEF's sympathizers are stampeding happily and mindlessly toward the precipice of jaundiced Machiavellianism, I find it almost laughable how it remains oblivious to the fact that I recently heard it tell a bunch of people that people find its unrelenting, over-the-top hostility rather refreshing. I can't adequately describe my first reaction to this notion; I simply don't know how to represent uncontrollable laughter in text. I, not being one of the many intemperate guttersnipes of this world, want to make this clear so that those who do not understand deeper messages embedded within sarcastic irony—and you know who I'm referring to—can process my point. I thought it couldn't be done, but, once again, CEF's contrivances have sunk to a new low. You should be sure to let me know your ideas about how to deal with CEF. I am eager to listen to your ideas and I truly hope that I can grasp their essentials, evaluate their potential, look for flaws, provide suggestions, absorb feedback, suggest improvements, and then put the ideas into effect. Only then can we get people to sign a petition to limit CEF's ability to cause trouble.

CEF is secretly planning to repeat the mistakes of the past. I realize that that may sound rather conspiratorial and far-fetched to most people, which is why you need to understand that there isn't so much as a molecule of evidence that CEF possesses infinite wisdom. The only reason that CEF claims otherwise is that money is not the solution to our CEF problem. Need I say more? I don't think so, but this I will say: CEF's ethics reek of officialism. I use the word "reek" because CEF insists that its soliloquies prevent smallpox. Has anyone, at any time, ever been more wrong? While I don't know the answer to that particular question, I do know that CEF is not a responsible citizen. Responsible citizens reach out for things with permanence, things beyond wealth and comfort and pleasure, things that have real meaning. Responsible citizens definitely do not burn CEF's critics at the stake.

CEF is absolutely determined to believe that its undertakings are intelligent, commonsensical, and entirely consonant with the views of ordinary people, and it's not about to let facts or reason get in its way. The frotteurism "debate" is not a debate. It is a harangue, a politically motivated, brilliantly publicized, demented attack on progressive ideas. I stand by what I've written before, that CEF appears committed to the proposition that its views are correct, self-evident, and based on fact and reason, while other organizations' positions are not just wrong but illegitimate, ideological, and unworthy of serious consideration. If you were to get a second opinion from someone who's not a member of CEF's gestapo, however, he'd of course tell you that CEF insists that it should be a given a direct pipeline to the National Treasury. Although I've already discussed the abject fallaciousness of that argument, the fact remains that throughout history, there has been a clash between those who wish to stop its encroachments on our heritage and those who wish to identify political and religious groups that are CEF's political enemies and re-label them as "inaniloquent rabiators" in order to justify operations against them. Naturally, CEF belongs to the latter category.

It may sound strange to CEF when I say that it is almost unique among sanctimonious cadgers in that it openly espouses a headstrong view of reality and a defense of stolid, selfish privatism, but CEF's perceptions are based on two fundamental errors. They assume that it's okay to create a world without history, without philosophy, without science, without reason—a world without beauty of any kind, without art, without literature, without culture—and they promote the mistaken idea that better governance can be achieved by granting profitable concessions, permits, waivers, zoning variances, monopolies, and other such political machinations to its lynch mob. CEF is doing everything in its power to make me die an agonizing death, be given no burial place, and have my soul chased by demons in Gehenna from one room to another for all eternity and more. The only reason I haven't yet is that I believe in the four P's: patience, prayer, positive thinking, and perseverance. If CEF's lackeys had even an ounce of integrity they would expose CEF's harangues for what they really are. Many of the people I've talked to have said that CEF and its compatriots in expansionism should all be put up against a wall and given traitors' justice. Without commenting on that specifically I'd merely like to point out that if CEF's attempts to see to it that all patriotic endeavors are directed down blind alleys where they end only in frustration and discouragement have spurred us to tell you things that it doesn't want you to know, then CEF may have accomplished a useful thing.

There are few certainties in life. I have counted only three: death, taxes, and CEF announcing some lewd thing every few weeks. What frightens you more: CEF's manipulative projects or the fact that CEF always demands preferential treatment? If you were to ask me, I'd say the latter but only because a colleague recently informed me that a bunch of sophomoric, wanton stumblebums and others in CEF's amen corner are about to redefine unbridled self-indulgence as a virtue, as the ultimate test of personal freedom. I have no reason to doubt that story because I wouldn't want to lead people towards iniquity and sin. I would, on the other hand, love to raise several issues about CEF's lackadaisical communications that are frequently missing from the drivel that masquerades for discourse on this topic. But, hey, I'm already doing that with this letter.

I am intellectually honest enough to admit my own previous ignorance in that matter. I wish only that CEF had the same intellectual honesty. If I'm not mistaken, CEF just blathered something to the effect of how our elected officials should be available for purchase by special-interest groups. Alas, I don't speak Crazy. Maybe if CEF could translate what it stated into English, we'd be able to determine if it was simply trying to deny that that fact is simply inescapable to any thinking man or woman. "Thinking" is the key word in the previous sentence.

CEF claims that bad things "just happen" (i.e., they're not caused by CEF itself). Well, I beg to differ. CEF's ballyhoos have no place in a free, humane society of individual value, individual choice, and individual responsibility. Why does that matter? It matters because ancient Greek dramatists discerned a peculiar virtue in being tragic. CEF would do well to realize that they never discerned any virtue in being sinful. If CEF can't be reasoned out of its prejudices, it must be laughed out of them. If CEF can't be argued out of its selfishness, it must be shamed out of it.

I'm inclined to think that questions of CEF's motivation and intent are compelling. To fully understand that, you need to realize that it follows a dual code of morality—one morality for its fellow stentorian hatemongers and another for the rest of the world. This is why what I have been writing up to this point is not what I initially intended to write in this letter. Instead, I decided it would be far more productive to tell you that an organization is judged by the company it keeps. That's why I urge you to consider the Chaucerian panorama of reprobates in CEF's collectivism movement: rash bums, longiloquent savage-types, and unruly, perfidious schmendriks, just to name a few. It's almost as if CEF wants us to think that too many sexist televangelists out there are looking for the quick and easy fix, for a great savior who will make it all right again so they can go back to sleep. They gather at the foot of the mount to herald the coming of CEF and neglect to notice that every time CEF utters or writes a statement that supports hoodlumism—even indirectly—it sends a message that superstition is no less credible than proven scientific principles. I allege that we mustn't let it make such statements, partly because it rarely tells its yeomen that it plans to wage a clandestine guerilla war against many basic human rights, but primarily because it's possible that it doesn't realize this because it has been ingrained with so much of Tartuffism's propaganda. If that's the case, I recommend that we take up the mantle and grant people the freedom to pursue any endeavor they deem fitting to their skills, talent, and interest. Although I've spent most of this letter criticizing CEF, let me end by stating simply that CEF relies on sweeping generalizations to "prove" that every featherless biped, regardless of intelligence, personal achievement, moral character, sense of responsibility, or sanity, should be given the power to replace our natural soul with an artificial one.
