I'm sorry but how in the fuck do you not notice that you're in the same layer? I mean, I have a dualscreen (triple when i need it) setup so I don't see the layer tab but its pretty noticeable when your lines start getting thinner.
You need to be more attentive when drawing.

I have been way to spoiled with 3DsMax autoback up feature...
isnt there like a plugin for photoshop that does the same?

btw this is what I ended up with after losing all the lines...
had to use a border filter on top of the color layer, shrink it down a lot and make a little of tunning... but like lost 80% of the details.
was a request for a friend D:

whats the difference between SAI and photoshop?
I'm familiar with photoshop for retouching and drawing. What does sai haves that photoshop doesnt?

Sai was designed for use with a tablet and only a tablet.

Sai was designed for use with a tablet and only a tablet. |
yeah but like in photoshop CS5 + you have special features for the tablet specifically like pen tilt and rotation detection for the new special brushes tools. that is only useful when coloring. when doing line work I just use a basic brush ( circular one ) with pen pressure on intensity and size
I might try using SAI, where can I download it?

Theres a pretty popular english torrent on TPB. Should be a very quick download.
Default brushes suck dick. I use these (hope you have chrome to translate that). I use the Ink S 7 brush to do my stuff (much better pressure detection that vanilla sai settings), color my shit and then throw an overlay texture on (example: my avatar).
