Also SSD. under 10 seconds boot here
Windows 7 Pro - 64bit
16GB DDR 3
AMD Phenom II X6 - 3.2GHz
Boot Drive - SSD 80GB
Main Drive - 300GB Raptor (Highly recommend these drives) google WD Raptor
Secondary Drive - 2TB WD
Secondary Drive 2 - 2TB WD
External Drive 1 - 150GB Hybrid

If your just complaining about boot time and reformatting your HDD didn't help then your HDD's are FUCKED and I recommend you get either a SSD or a Raptor drive to boot from.

I can tell you from having so many HDDs of different types that:

SSD drives are ASTOUNDINGLY faster then regular drives.
Raptor drives are FAST, Quite and VERY durable and long lasting
Hybrid drives are reliable, VERY nice drives but can be pricy

All three other types of drives by far outperform the standard HDD
