Hey Mike. Ever wonder why I don't care? It's not just online neglect. I genuinely don't give a fraction of a flying fuck about what your or anyone else wants to determine based off of my posts on the shittiest board in the whole internet next to 4chan.
I just don't know how to get this point across in a way that you will believe me. You'll think I'm stupid or being retarded. But you're legitimately the lowest on my list of people worth listening to. Like dead sea low.

| ahhh. proud to the end. i knew it wouldn't get through. you're just too dim to be able to look at yourself in a critical light. instead you'll just continue what you always do. read up a minuscule amount about something then fool yourself into believing you're one of the world's leading experts on that subject

Because I totally had to read up on how much I don't care about what you think.
Bravo.

Honestly I've never been anywhere where there are 3g/4g towers but no public wifi. | not that surprising, afaik you don't go out much so you haven't really been anywhere |
No, I just live in a big city. | My point stands. You're a retard. |
I go out all the time, your point is invalid. | My point was nothing to do with whether you go out or not.
Let me break it down for you, since you're clearly sub-par mentally.
THE IPAD 3 HAS 4G CONNECTIVITY, MEANING THAT IT CAN CONNECT TO THE FASTER STANDARD.
Are you with me so far?
YOU THEN SAID >WIFI TO WHICH I REPLIED ...
Dude, stop letting your mind drift. Concentrate. I bet this is why you didn't pass all those exams.
OKAY, NOW I'VE GOT YOU BACK. BRILLIANT!
Fuck, Cryoma. Seriously. Okay, I'll use a bigger font.
ALRIGHTY THEN
THE POINT IS THAT YOU CAN HAVE BOTH, THEY ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. ALSO, ONE IS FOR WHEN YOU ARE OUT OF THE YOUR BASEMENT AND ONE IS FOR WHEN YOU'RE INSIDE YOUR BASEMENT
Fuck, man. You're a lot of effort.

You seem to be implying that I am stupid enough to believe that the iPad product is capable on either wifi connection or 3g/4g, but not both simultaneously.
I am perfectly aware that the mobile broadband models are inclusively able to connect to wifi, I was simply pointing out that wifi is superior in speeds and therefor it's ridiculous to invest in a mobile broadband feature at all, especially since it's like an extra $100 or some shit for the product alone, then you have to pay a monthly fee of an arm and a leg to MAYBE get service if you're leaving an area that doesn't have wifi in the first place.

We actually have an ISP here that provides hotspots through almost the entire country, against a decent price. But if they are your ISP at home, you can use those hotspots for free by using the account information they provide. Unfortunately not everybody has the same ISP.

1. Hardly anyone has skype compared to how many people have phones, so if you have to call someone it usually MUST be done via phone (my guess 95% of the time).
2. Skype costs money too I believe.
3. Phones have absolutely nothing to do with internet, we were talking about the iPad, which is an oversized iTouch.
Wifi is much faster than mobile broadband, so my argument is that it's silly to pay for mobile broadband when you can either pay for wifi or just use free wifi. Either way it's going to be everywhere you go, unless you leave a civilized area, in which case there won't be mobile broadband towers either.

the other person does not need skype. if you get skype premium, you can get unlimited calling to landlines and mobiles of a selected country.
i live in a busy city known as london. free wifi is not widely available. even if you are willing to pay, there is no widespread wifi here. the closest you can get is something called btopenzone, which i have. and coverage is very low. with cellular connection, i can get a signal almost anywhere in london
i bring up ipod touch and iphone because the largest difference is essentially that one can make cellular connection and the other can't. similar to an ipad with and without cellular

Oh that's neat, I thought it was just p2p.
Well if skype premium is less than a regular calling plan from a carrier then you might as well go ahead and do that.
I know I was exaggerating about wifi being everywhere that broadband is but it's true if you live in a city like I do, so that's actually a viable option for me.

Right, and I brought up wifi because cellular connection on a device that can't make cellular calls is pretty pointless, but I didn't have your 3rd world country in mind.
