Ova means it wasn't aired on tv, just sold on vhs or dvd or brd these days.
Most likely enough people bought the vhs to merit funds for airing of the next season.
See, this is why I watch naruto, it probably won't end for another 5 years or so.
Except Naruto is shit anime.
It makes for better games than anime, yes, but whatever.
I can think of a bunch of anime that could be made into fantastic games. Naruto isn't one of them.
Whilst I don't much like Naruto myself anymore, I don't see how you could argue that a series as long Naruto would make for bad games. People seem to enjoy playing through the storyline as and against the characters and people love ninjas.
I didn't say they were bad. Just that they aren't fantastic. And tons of other anime could produce a much more playable game.

What I'm asking is if they're
1) The same story, but one with filler episodes
2) The same story, but more intricately retold
3) Sequential stories
4) Unrelated stories in the same universe.
5) All of the above
6) 5 and 3.
I'm pretty sure the tv series is what happens after the first one. If not then it's another story same people afaik. I remember the first one being the best though. _________________
