You just realized that Cartridges are essentially discs that you don't have to take out of their case.

Discs are delicate, and risk scratches and damage when you take it out of the case, while it's out of the case, while it's in the system, when you take it out of the system, and when you put it back in the case. There's some risk while it's in the case as well.

Cartridges, on the other hand, are essentially wearing sturdy armor at all times.

Discs take up just as much space as cartridges, because with the disc you need to keep them in their cases anyway. You don't need a case for a cartridge because it has it's own built in armor protecting it from harm at all times.

The Nintendo DS has shown that high capacity cartridges for modern games can be made, and those cartridges are tiny. With today's technology, I'm sure that a cartridge the size of an Famicom or Genesis cartridge could exceed the capabilities of the disc.

There's no difference between a shelf of CD cases and a shelf of cartridges. Cartridges are clearly superior. Just because they were the original system doesn't make them worse. If Nintendo made a simple speech explaining the benefits of cartridges, nobody would have a problem going back to the old medium.

Nothing new. I don't use cd's/dvd's either. I mainly use sdcards/usb flashdisks with at least 32GB

Oh you. I thought the famicom would be a better example because the size of the cartridges. The NES had a lot of unnecessary plastic. The Famicom and Genesis, though, were pretty much the perfect shape and size.

Your words bear true, however, the cause for my assertions lie in the grammatical error in which "an" is incorrectly used.

Best part about cartridges : on the n64 if you tilted some of the game carts, weird ass glitches would happen.

Not sure if that applied to snes games but it did for n64

That's for gamesaves though. According to whats been said all specs of the WiiU are false and things will be revealed at E3. Its supposed to be miles a head of this gen so hopefully it at least matches close to the ps4 and 720. I have never bought a nintendo console besides the 3DS for graphics. The 3DS has some great looking games, even better with the 3d on.

I thought the Wii U was going to have the equivalent of a 4670 graphics card. That's what I read a while back on Tom's Hardware.
