whats wrong with 2033s optimization?
also I wanted to get it but couldnt get an extra $5 after buying D3, i do have the game currently pirated, playing through ranger hardcore |

It's pretty good looking, but not that good. I mean... I can run RAGE at max settings and get a decent framerate, but Metro 2033... no... unplayable at high settings.
And RAGE looks better on max settings than Metro looks at high settings.

Pretty sure you have no idea how RAGE works.
RAGE has a locked framerate and updates the quality of the graphics based on how well you're computer is handling it. So no, you're completely lying about you playing it on "max settings" and getting a "decent framerate."
Rage literally is an image. Everything in that game is hand drawn. When I run Rage, it's at max quality pretty much the entire time, but in my opinion Metro looks much better still.

I mean it's cheap, but it's also only a couple hours long of a game. It's a thrillride for the few hours it is though.
I pirated it, but that was back when it was $40 or however much when it came out. Do what you please.

i run metro 2033 maxed and it looks fucking amazing, you might have physx enabled which makes every game that has that feature enabled lag (Ive only seen it in mirrors edge too but im sure there are others), and that setting is also not in the graphics options but the game settings
maxed at 50-60~fps with my i3 2120 and 6870, resolution is only at 1360x768 though |

This is all I really know, I'm oblivious when it comes to computers. From what I know, the processor and graphics card are what really manage your game; I don't have an actual card apparently, but I'm able to run the game fine at low settings without any lag.

This is all I really know, I'm oblivious when it comes to computers. From what I know, the processor and graphics card are what really manage your game; I don't have an actual card apparently, but I'm able to run the game fine at low settings without any lag.

Everyone seems to suddenly think Metro runs smooth.
This was not the mindset back when I played.
