Of course they can't read minds, i was referring to the part where you just said that it's their job to evaluate people. That is true but however the evaluation process depends on many things. For instance what kind of person the subject is, age, mental condition, interaction and manipulation skills, criminal records or any logs that could indicate of someone's habits or issues...

They primarily provide therapy through talking and that's where they get the information from, they're just humans.
