So a quiet friend of mine wants to go on a date on friday.
She's really, really quiet. I'm not sure what we can do that would be "date worthy". We saw Titanic last saturday, and barely said anything the whole time. It felt so awkward. Anything other than a movie that might invoke conversation?

Not talking during a movie is a common thing thats why you go to a movie so you dont have to talk and afterwards because you watched a movie you now have things to talk about like i dont know maby the movie. Even when far in relationships talking rarely occurs during movies for me just me inside their mouths is only activity involving mouth.

If you want to talk follow gannoks advice, be a listener find out what she likes research those topics and talk about them/sound interested in them. if your looking to get your fuck on go to romantic places or private places where you are alone ie your house, beach, her house.

If weather is fine just hang out somewhere nice like a park. Get some ice cream and share it. If not, go to a restaurant and have some drinks. Like cocktails or something. Don't go to a noisy bar. I often do restaurant, event (like theatre), then some drinks. Don't get smashed. Just spend time together and the alcohol might help

One more thing though. People like what you are describing are unlikely to change. If you're sick of having to do all the work and her just taking, nothing will change in the future. So just think about that
