VMware has better 3D support if you are gonna do anything like that. If not I'd take Virtualbox

You were studying engineering? Also why would anyone want to use VMWare on a desktop system? Neither has decent acceleration support so as to play games, and both integrate just fine with the host. Only real difference I see is that I have to usually pay for one, and the others free (not to mention the download size).
