Watch 90% of the people in this thread trying to stop smoking after they have passed age 35. It might take a bit longer or shorter but I haven't met a sane adult yet who wished they didn't smoke. To whoever said it's to relieve stress: you aren't relieving stress. You're fulfilling your addiction, which is a cause for stress.

No, it is not making any sense at all. Stress relieving my ass, even when not stressed, an addicted smoker smokes. Not being able to smoke will even get you more stressed out, it just makes no freaking sense to be intoxicating yourself with expensive stuff that has no positive effect at all.

Occasional but when i do i chain-smoke for a few days then just stop for a while(weeks/months). I don't feel any addiction to it though.

In the UK you're legally allowed to smoke at 16, but not allowed to buy them until 18.

In the U.S. there are no actual laws pertaining to a required age at which you can smoke, only to purchase. The cop was probably just being a prick.
