Don't know anything about it but I do know trackpads are terrible for your fingers anyway so you should use a mouse.

Ubuntu's was decent, but not to the extent that I'm using on OS X right now.

| Ok, I can understand that then, except that if you get a decent laptop for 1/2th the price of a macbook and install OSX you will still have hardware support from your warranty.

There was that study that proved mac users to be much more likely to be homosexuals. It also proved linux users are more likely to be angry neckbeards, so take it as you will.

Always worked on a Windows machine, until I got a Macbook Pro from work. To be honest it's the operating system that's awesome. The Macbook Pro itself isn't really anything special, aside from the small details like the touchpad, magnetized power supply, and magnetized lid. Unfortunately Apple made it so that recent versions of the OSX operating system can't be installed on anything but a Mac, and you depend on volatile Hackintosh installations to install it on a non-mac system. Unfortunately Hackintosh is always a dozen versions behind so it pretty much sucks.
To be fair, the Macbook Pro is really designed to work with the operating system. I can only imagine many cheapskates buying inferior hardware, installing OSX, and then complain it's laggy. At least Apple can make sure it actually works as they intended it to work, which you really can't with all the Windows users.
In closing, Linux is awesome. Worked on Ubuntu for quite some time, and it's just swell. OSX feels like a copy made better when compared to Ubuntu.
