People enjoyed borderlands because they had adhd and couldn't sit through a decent storyline, otherwise they'd get fo3 which is superior on all levels.

I would play an 8-bit game with an amazing story line over a game with super flashy graphics and a shitty story line any day of the week. |
If the same game was available with super flashy graphics you'd choose it right? |
Why would they make the same game twice?

In other words, there ARE situations in which graphics make the game.

One of the major factors, multiplayer. I mean, shit, multiplayer instantly gives Borderlands more playability...
Fallout 3 focuses more on storyline (and RPG elements), which isn't surprising considering the previous Fallout games. While Borderlands is more action-oriented.
