| A topic about a online game comes up multiple times per day, maybe a sticky in place would cut down on the number of them?

It wouldn't cut them down, it would just give people a link they can give to people who ask instead of telling them we don't support it.
I've been thinking about this as well.

It's already mentioned in the terms when you sign up, and in the faq link at the top left

Well, it's there;however, not all people will read the faq. Some just want to sign up for cheats/tuts/just to signup/other things. I mean a sticky would be useful because all we would have to do is just post the link. or we could quote from the faq. Either way, it sounds better than just taking time out to search for online cheating in the faq or telling them there is no online cheating because then they would read the link and request for a lock or w.e This is just my opinion though

| I've never taken one look at the FAQ and I've been coming to this site for years. I think that's a pretty good benchmark of it's usefulness for new members coming here with the intent to ask a question about an online game =/.

Yeah I agree, I have yet to really look at the FAQ. Originally when I came here long ago I simply joined and started posting without questioning the rules.

A universal sticky for ALL the sections would be the best option imo.
lol @ DB

Well now that everyone knows it's in the terms and in the FAQ, just link to the FAQ, and do be sure they are actually breaking the guidelines in the FAQ.

Every post regarding multiplayer hacking as of late are all from first time posters. None of them read stickies or the FAQ. Making a global announcement on-top of each forum wont change it either. The posters don't care, they just want to try and get hacks for their game.
Making it part of the registration page may grab their attention faster and prevent some of the posts, but I doubt it will ever stop.

Yes, people don't read. And even when they read the rules, they will give it a try. A few weeks ago some guy was arguing with me about the rules and why do I lock his topic. Now there is a lunatic who is cursing DB just because he is thinking he should be allowed to talk about MP cheats.
Usually when you say no, they try it again in another thread or a little bit later when they think we don't remember their last attempt anymore.
Even when they know the rules, they don't respect them. This is why an answer + a lock is needed in those cases.

kids these days...
DB should code a script where it'll make a popup which renders the whole screen dark and unclickable, and inside, theres a message saying the whole thing. The message then dissappears after 1 min. or less.

This would cause idiots to think DB would be hacking them. I do not like this tip at all

Having Javascript disabled renders this useless.
