Name, idk.
He was only able to read the *minds of those who kept him locked, he never met anyone else. And he doesn't have an unwringable hate for humans, he just doesn't like them. He isn't out to destroy them, he's out to escape them.
Who says the train wasn't guarded? It was total'd. And secret transport + lots of guards = not a secret transport.
The main characters were all twelve because that's the story.
The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering

@Cryoma,
It's an alien, it can do whatever the creator wants it to do, even read minds. Why does it dislike humans? Because they locked it up, experimented on it, and didn't let it leave Earth.
But to be honest, the real reason it hates people is because J.J. Abrams likes his monsters to do these things. But Spielberg likes his monsters to have a fruity good time with children... and thus, Cloverfield+E.T. = Super 8.
