Which one you guys use ?. I do a lot of video editing for fun and necessary projects and windows live movie maker used to do the job nicely, however, it just broke recently due to some other codec installation i guess.
So i am thinking of using some professional ones, tried Sony Vegas Pro, way too complex and lot of work to do simple modding.
Recommend me some.
PS: i did search but the only topic found are in random spam and you know how things goes there. No useful advice.

Sony Vegas? After effects?
These 2 are very good and common video editing software, I normally prefer sony vegas because its much user-friendly, but if effects is what you're going for then after effect is your friend

Novacut. It's the best free editor you'll be getting anyways.

thanks, will be checking others out.
Sony vegas is really good but its not just click here and click there and done like WLMM e.g. But i guess it wasn't made for small or simple video editing.

What tool is it better to use to cut a short clip from a video hosted at Vimeo? I want to cut it and download the cut version to my PC. How is this possible?

You'd typically have to download the video before you are able to cut certain parts out of it. Any video editing software with the bare necessities should be able to cut a single clip into parts.

Camtasia records too right ?. Didn't knew it had video-editing feature, thought it was just for recording and i didn't had a mic so never bothered to download.
I'll check it out

I'll check it out | It does have a video editing feature, though it's very limited.
Seriously, go for premiere pro + after effects.
