Before I start, I want you to know that I know hardly anything about hardware. I have an older laptop that I got for Christmas--My dad bought my mom and I a laptop and he already had a laptop and the family desktop--and I'd like for it to run faster. A friend of mine bought me 4GB of RAM--it came with 2GB--and that's all I've done to it. I make sure to keep everything software-related up-to-date as I check for updates almost daily.
Here are it's specs (from CCleaner):
I also have Win7 Pro x86 installed. I do not have the ISO for x64 and don't feel like downloading/installing atm.
Anyway, what can I do to make it run any faster?

Nothing, sorry. You already have 4 gigs of ram, which is the max for 32 bit. You can't replace any other hardware in a laptop.

Not really true, it depends on the laptop. Plenty of parts can be altered, replaced, or changed.
@OP: As for making your system faster, whats slow about it? Care to be a little more specific on whats slow about it?

Well it's not really slow, but I'd just like to make it super fast haha. Or at least faster, if possible. But alright, thanks for the insight!

Install a 64-bit OS, since you're not even using all of the 4GB of RAM on 32.

Is your Windows installation clean or from an OEM installation disk? If it's OEM you may want to look at finding a retail copy to remove all the extra crap that is preinstalled.
Turn off services that you don't need / use either. Things like network monitoring for Printer discovery is useless if you have no intentions on printing things. Check out these links:

As for performance in specific applications if you mean games, don't plan on getting much more then what your system is currently putting out. It's not worth the money to upgrade laptop parts (aside from memory / cpu) in most cases. You'll be better off spending the money on a new system if you plan to try to upgrade more parts.
