Hello there! I have a question for you guys to answer:
When I install a Linux OS (eg. Arch Bang) onto my computer, through USB, would my Hard Drive be wiped out completely?
Just curious because I my linux mounted up on Virtual Box.

No, all you gotta do is create another partition on your C drive via Disk Management, and use that partition for Linux. But I don't know why you're going through all this when you can just use Wubi, it does everything for you.

Also I'm not sure if you've ever used a *nix distro before, however some aren't as friendly as others and I'd suggest you to use a friendly one. Ubuntu is really easy to use however 11.04's Unity shell is not my preferences... Plus you'll see a lot of things aren't compatible, especially games. D: But on the bright side *nix distros run well on older computers, and their community is always very helpful Very Happy

Damn I feel like I have 1000000 run-on sentences there Embarassed

Ok, Thanks, but I prefer to use ArchBange Very Happy.
It's nice to try different things other that windows.

I'm already used to the Linux environment Very Happy. I like ArchBang better than ubuntu, because that way i can learn better. The hard way.
