Hey guys!
My computer running fine for around 3 months, since my last cleaning. Yesterday my computer was working fine, yet when I turned it on today morning, it just didn't boot up.

What I mean is, I press the power button, I hear the cpu fan speed up, then return to normal, and that's when my screen would turn on, and it would show all the specs, then into windows.

However today morning, it just kept repeating that, fast spin, slow down, fast cpu spin again, slow down. And nothing would boot up, no spec screen, my monitor wouldn't even turn on!

So I cleaned it, took it apart, and cleaned all the fans, put it back together, and now it spins fast, and then just stays quiet, without my monitor turning on, or anything!

It doesn't even beep, or click, just nothing happens?!

Anyone know why, and how I can fix it?

thanks!

1. check to see if you're monitor is working properly.
2. make sure you air blow your system to remove dusts.
3. it's good to check your HDD cables. Sometimes technician don't plug it properly.

If those above doesn't seem to help. Question is; does it even boot to where you see your computer logo like DOS. If you don't see anything when you bootup; it's probby could be your CMOS battery runs out. If replaced and still not working; hammer is you next option Very Happy Buy a new one.

A dead CMOS battery would not cause this - so long as the PC still has wired power the battery isn't used (I believe that's how it works?) and even if you take the battery out, unplug it, and boot it will still boot, it'll just notify you that shit may need configured.

@OP: Be specific. What all did you clean? how did you clean it? did you remove any parts to clean?

This is how it works yea.

Is it booting? Do you get the post beep? Any beeps at all? Disconnect all wires and reconnect the essentials. Try using onboard graphics if you have it.

Here's my assumption of your problem, without reading it--and also the mistakes most beginner builders make: Your PCU does not have enough Watts to power the entire system. The GPU will be the first to go down due to it being the heaviest user.

Here's my assumption after reading it: Something got fried, look into it. Prepare to replace your motherboard.
