Looking pretty awesome.

Link

Little old. Saw it the other day but didn't feel like posting about it.

I like the new lighting, and how fighting has the cinematic camera zoom.

My biggest gripe with minecraft was it not being visually pleasing. IT does something unique with its textures that works well with current gen lighting.

Still waiting for reflection in metal items and actual fire effects.

That developing mode looks amazing. I hope a name-change feature is implemented soon. It's really simple as he only has to alter a field in the database.

Code:
UPDATE players SET username='New username' WHERE username='Old username'

I don't know much SQL, but that seems legit Razz

I think the zooming was him sprinting before attacking.
And I actually like the way Minecraft looks. It's got style.

I agree with the style point, I just find it a bit rough. The new lighting system really smooths out the shadows and makes it look a lot better.

The current lighting is pretty smooth... granted the update looks like it will improve things a bit.

im glad youre not a cunt and dont like the graphics because of an actual reason not HURR ITS BLOCKS like most people

i dunno how metal reflecting would look in minecraft, it sounds weird but so did new lighting systems until i saw them (never fucked around with mods)
and i like that the transition from day to night is smoother, because the current way does look rough
the zooming thing isnt just aesthetics , it helps when youre actually playing to give some force to the different move youre doing.
remember the games in beta tho, i think thats what everyone needs to be reminded sometimes

The new (slender man?) monster is scary and awesome. Good job.
