Will be going to a local public school for my Undergrad education. Will be getting a Bachelors in Computer Science. I qualify for their Presidential scholarship, which pays for absolutely everything apart from books and misc class fees. On top of that, I get the highest level TOPS scholarship from my state, which is $1,295.00 per quarter or $3,885.00 per year. Free money.
I'm thinking I will save up most of the tops money and use it to go to a graduate school for my Software Engineering degree. Anyone else do something like this? Noone in my family has(only undergrads) so I'm not sure how it works out.

I highly recommend that. HIGHLY. Most Universities have the same three years, standardized. The fun shit starts in the last two. At least, thats how it is here, and it was for a lawyer that I know who started in a local Uni for the first two years then went to Harvard.

That's what I was thinking. 4 years here then Stanford or Berkely, most likely the latter.
Possibry RIT if I can afford it.

I figured Berkely had a higher acceptance than MIT. Pretty sure MIT only accepts national merit scholars or people with amazing test scores.
Lets put it this way. I've received letters from Berkely and Stanford(as well as others like Princeton and Dartmouth, but they're not really what I want) but I have never received anything from MIT ;-;
EDIT: Yea, MIT is an 11%, Berkeley 21%
MIT's ACT scores range from 32-35, so I'm just BARELY in their range with a 32
Berkeley is 25-32, so at the top

Berkley is MITs main and only competitor. They are just tightasses and like to be cute by making people crawl to them. If you've gotten a letter from Berkley, chances are MIT will accept you. Stanfords excellent, I might be seeing you there if I ever actually finish Uni here and get enough money to study in their AI laboratory (which is better than MITs).

No, that was my first try. My math dragged me down, I had like a 32, a 34, a 35 but then a fucking 27 in math.
...needless to say I was pissed.
I'll probably take it again soon. And Yea, I'll probably apply for both.
