Anyone here ever bought an Air Compressor?
I have done my homework and will share what I know:

CFM / SCFM = Cubic Feet per Minute / Speed of air flow
PSI = Pound per square inch / Strength of air flow
HP = Horse power / Engine mechanics; pulling air
Gallon = Measure of volume / Max air capacity

---

My desktop is screaming and I can't have my quiet moments around the computer anymore. If anyone can suggest a great price-performance Air compressor, I'd appreciate the help. May help someone else too, who knows. Every computer owner needs to blow off dust once in a while.

By the way, I have no experience in this at all.

Get some canned air. It's cheaper.

there are many smaller air compressors you can buy that are quite cheap. I bought one for 100$ and I use it on all my electronics. Not sure about the actual specs on it but I do know it works way better than a can of compressed air which I find not strong enough to get some of the harder to reach places cleaned. If you have lots of electronics and don't want to continually buy those cans then they can be a good investment.

Why the hell would you use a leaf blower? It's loud, really loud - has a risk of blowing debris into your PC, and the electric / gas you use from using it would likely cost more than to just buy a small can of air that would last months.

First of all, I don't mind the loudness since I do it only about once a month.

Second of all, I do it in an open place outside, exactly where there is no debris that can get in...

Third, it's electric and it plugs into the wall outlet Very Happy

I am looking into that vacuum, right now. Looks like the perfect buy to me, just need to see it in action first--it's only 70 CFM, that's why. I got a 20" fan that blows +3000 CFM and it couldn't do the job.

About that leaf blower, can that thing hit the spots inside hardware like GFX cards?

Here is a good-bang-for-the-buck Air Compressor, what's your opinion?

So I bought that little Vacuum QuickQuestion suggested and boy was I impressed. This little bugger runs warm but blows the hell out of my computer. If anyone is in the market for an Air Compressor just to blow your computer, take a look at this vacuum: http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-ED500-500-Watt-Electric/dp/B001J4ZOAW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313033505&sr=8-1
