Apparently in Canadian high schools the teacher chooses what's the fail grade.
They can make a C+ a fail.

I'd like to be a teacher, but I wouldn't like teaching high schoolers, or children. A lot of kids at my school are annoying pricks.

| i ended this semester with a 96% in math. first semester i dropped from an A to a C as my final math grade because my teacher wouldn't let me do a makeup for a test i missed and got a 0% on it. test was worth around 20% of my grade.

it was a woman and her reason didn't make sense. she said during the previous exams students had taken advantage of the test make up's so she's no longer giving them. i said i was not a part of the students that took any make ups and asked how it was fair to give other students a make up exam in the past but not me one. she didn't really have an answer but wouldn't change her mind.

women are excellent teachers, especially when they get moody during "their special time"
