Hi,
I'm making an app that needs to read some memory values from a game running under XNA.
I found the addresses with no problems, and also found static pointers to them (relative to the process modules).
My machine is Windows 7 x64.
I've tried reading the same pointer list on a Windows 7 x32 machine, and after a rescan i get only 1 dll module remaining (with about 700 entries), but when I try the same list on a Windows XP machine, I get 0.
I've tried re-running the scan several times, and I also tried with first scans from each of the machines, and I still get the same results.
If there's a solution to this problem, is anyone willing to tell me ?

If this problem has been discussed before, I'm really sorry for posting this, although I searched before posting, and couldn't find an answer.

Thanks in advance.

Try a bigger level and structsize.
e.g level 6 or 7 with default structsize, or a level 5 with structsize of 4096, and then increase until you find it taking way to long.

It could be that the operating system value can be interpreted as an address and purely coincidental eventually links back to the address you want.
Or windows 7 has a list of pointers somewhere in usermode that win xp doesn't. (E.g: The display driver is in Win7 in usermode, so perhaps you found the pointer to a texture or model, and continue from there...)

In short, try a bigger pointerlist
Or if you're one of those people that click the stop button: Don't

The last scan I did before starting this topic was on level 6, but I haven't changed the structsize, so I'll try that.
Thanks !
