I'm also pretty sure they'd include a News update for it. They did for TF2, but there's nothing in the News about L4D.

That's why I'm telling you to talk to Valve. I asked a few people on MSN and they say they can see that L4D is free. Not sure what I can say to prove this isn't fake. :/

Does it say anything in the News for you? Take a screeny if it does, if you fail to provide a screeny, then there's nothing else you can do to prove it's not fake.
