So is it the Onlive thingo where you play games regardless of your computer's hardware? Or is there something else with Onlive?
I heard the hardware one was really bad, laggy.

Onlive is cloud gaming. If you have a decent internet connection, there is no lag.

You can go make an account, the service is free, all you pay for are the games, which are the same price as steam.
