I feel like a dummy for forgetting function values...

f(x) = -x^2 - x - 4
For f(-2)
f(-2) = -(-2)^2 - (-2) - 4
f(-2) = -4 + 2 - 4
f(-2) = -6

Am doin it write?

Uh you do what's in the parentheses first, but the - sign is outside and therefor comes after exponent.

Well I'm going for my associates degree in computer science so I need up to math 123, calculus and linear algebra.
Right now I'm doing a crash course in advanced algebra, precal, and trig so that I'm fresh come fall.
