Eh, for the past years I've been using photoshop; there's always one thing that annoyed me. It's the cursor changes randomly for me. From the usual O shape that changes size when you change brush sizes, it turns into this + shape where in I can't see the brush's estimated size.
I know it may have been a hotkey that I've been accidentally pushing but which key is that? Is there a fast way of turning the cursor back to normal?

That has never happened to me. What version of Photoshop are you using?

Ctrl / Alt / Shift alter the look of the cursor depending on what tool you have selected. Are you accidentally hitting one of those?

I only see the "+" shape when the brush is small (relative to my zoom level).
The bracket keys [ and ] change brush size, if you press ] a couple of times, does it do what you want?

In the options (Tools > options I believe) you can change it so that it shows either just that cross, or an estimated size.

I do that to fix it but I'm trying to find out what caused it.
It just randomly happens. I'm pretty sure I'm pushing something I'm not supposed to.
