Would the pointer scanner be a good alternative?

Did you find the health already? You cannot use the pointer scanner if you didn't find the value yet.
Find the health and find what is accessing to it.

It must be a float value type, 4 byte just won't work...

Or it could be even just 1 byte. Who knows how much is the health? Maybe you have just 100 or 200 health and then 1 byte is far enough to store the health. Especially because this is an old game and old games tend to use 1 or 2 bytes to store data.

Is cheat engine even attached to the correct process? (e.g ntvdm , winoa386 or dosbox )

How can I possibly find a health value that keeps changing address and that is color-based, not number-based. Anyone?
EDIT: Is it possible to use Memory View to find the health value?

look i dont know the game...so here look
if it is a color bar as you said you start doing unknown initial value in float and the lose health and then decrease scan but if your bar has increased you should make increased scan ...if you still havent found it you should make
unknown initial value in float and then lose health ....changed value and so on
make also this lose health make changed value then dont go to the game and do unchanged value
Dont forget some games have encrypted bytes

I'm back on trying to hack this game again. After 4 years, I'm still trying. I bought this game in late 2007, and still trying. If anyone are good at color based health meters, please reply to this!
