Wait. You're building a new computer to house 8 GB of RAM but pairing it with a 430W PSU?

Assuming you're using an intel chip, this will be better:

Are you also assuming he's using Crossfire or SLI by recommending him that PSU?

Well... Assuming he wants to have open pci slots and the option to crossfire later and add more ram or whatnot.

Ok if you're going amd get a phenom ii or nothing at all, it's honestly the only good chip they make.
If you just get an i7 like I did you will be in heaven for years to come and not have to worry about upgrading anytime soon.
And stay away from 6 cores, a 4 core i7 is better for less the price.

The speed of ram, believe it or not, heeds a lot less performance benefits than the processor clock or even the amount of memory. Buy the product above instead, and spend the money you saved on an aftermarket cooler, such as a Hyper 212 or an Arctic Cooling freezer 7 Pro. The performance gains from overclocking your processor will far outweigh the performance gains of the faster memory, I guarantee it.
