My Sennheiser HD555 (modded to 595) serves me well. Also one of the few quality headphones not requiring an amp to sound decent (although amps do help massively).
amps make non 320kbps music sound so bad. Most ppl don't even know that they r playing 120 because they are so used to ipod earphones.

I'm not using any headphones either, at the moment.
I just recently bought myself a Sony Bluetooth Stereo Headset.
http://accessories.dell.com/sna/products/Networking/productdetail.aspx?c=ca&l=en&s=dhs&cs=cadhs1&sku=A2945973

It was 50% off at the time, so I thought it would be a great investment, seeing as how it was originally $100.

I was completely wrong. It's crap. There's nothing special about it. It doesn't even sound that great. My old worn out iPod earbuds sound way better.

I'll consider the suggestions here too.

I use Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000.
Covers the ears and uses USB (which I like since my sound card doesn't work).

Your sound card works... or it wouldn't be outputting sound through any form. It's likely the audio out port that's broken.

Nou always, my bluetooth has decent music quality, and it is a cheaper pair.

I've been using a Steelseries 5HV2 for a couple of years now. It's pretty sweet.

I actually have the same headset, they are pretty good for like 25 bucks.

Also to cryoma, i have owned beats solos before and they weren't that bad, they sounded good in my opinion, but since they were a gift I didn't have to waste my money so I guess compared to other headphones they are worse, but not that bad. Actually I returned them to monster to get some monster turbines and I am waiting for them in the mail.

As I said, it's USB. It comes with it's own drivers.
