So I like my taskbar at the top of my screen but a lot of programs open with the top bit under it (The part with minimize, maximize and exit) This also means I am unable to move them unless I make my task bar larger, which is annoying. Anyway to stop this?

Have you tried using auto-hide the taskbar?
