Oh wow. You would think nobody has taken a decent world or US history class. I'm pretty sure the American government imprisoned good, working Japanese citizens, putting them in shitty homes. If that wasn't bad enough, we then killed about one-hundred thousand innocent civilians, even more due to radiation. BUT NUU DEY DID PEAL HARBOR SO ITS ALRIGHT!!111

Basically the peace treaty of WW1 and the economical disaster after it started WW2, but if you really want to choose a nation to blame (which I wouldn't do because it is a much more complex matter), it was started by Germany.

It isn't about nations, no one says that you are personally responsible for thousands of deaths in Vietnam or anything (yeah tons of innocent people died there just to play some skirmish match between the USA and SU). Even if you are a soldier who is killing on order, it isn't really your fault (but when you do it for fun or money and you are enjoying it too, then it is).

It is really a non-sense thinking to hate a nation for something that happened ages ago and you don't even remember it. If you do, at least do it right and stop using everything that was made in Japan (not to mention that Japan has tons of investements in the USA). With this thinking, I could hate everyone in the USA, saying "it was your fault that the recent economical crisis has started".

People should just grow up, read, learn and see why are these things are happening and hate those who really deserve it (wishful thinking). If you really go into this "hate this or that nation" thing, it will be the USA which is probably the most hated and disrespected nation around the world and certainly not Japan.

The USA was involved in WW2 from the start by supporting the Allied countries with resources. All those convoys that were sink in the Atlantic...
Pearl Harbor was just a reason for the USA to officially enter the war as self-defense. There was no way (and no intention) to avoid joining into the fight. The USA wanted to join the first one and they wanted to join to the second too. Japanese people has died for their Emperor and americans died for their capitalist leaders. They killed on order with some sense of duty.

Let's not forget that the very first aggression between Japan and the USA started by the USA when they have forced Japan to open its harbors to outsiders and end their isolation. Since then, both before and after the war, Japan and the USA were business partners for many many years, still until today. In the past 100 years, they were more like friends and business partners instead of enemies of the USA yet people are just focusing on the negative events only. Both countries have gained a lot in this relationship and foolish people are remembering Pearl Harbor only.

They should really think before they post things like this. WW2 was just a small period of the 20th century, a period where economical interests have resulted in a tension and war. It was 60 years ago and almost nobody remember it, except the oldest veterans who may have fought there. The USA has fought at almost every part of the world against countries of Europe, Middle-East, Asia and ex-SU countries. If they want to hate them all, they better move to an island and live in isolation. Then if they have no more enemies to hate, they can start guessing who is from ex-Confederate states and start their own little civil war. Don't forget and know no mercy. Smile

Yeah but it is not the only country that was seeking opportunity to strengthen its influence (every country is doing that if they can). And after all, they are not the nemesis of the USA. Germany and Japan is not the big evil blob on the map anymore. Those times have passed long ago.

I know they aren't evil blobs on the map anymore. Neither am I saying that Japan deserves this earthquake as retribution for WW2. Nobody should be punished for the crimes of their ancestors.

I was just saying that Japan isn't only responsible for Pearl Harbor that most Americans seem to think. "The only thing they started was our involvement." Nobody seems to know or remember that their war crimes were probably worse than what the Germans did to the Jews.
