|
|
Hello,
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, if it is please feel free to move it. I had a question regarding Total War: Shogun 2 which came out yesterday.
I've only ever once played through a Total War game without cheating, and it was not very much fun for me. I've always enjoyed cheating to give myself money so I wouldn't have to sit there and deal with taxes and revolutions and micro-manage the financial aspect of things, as it just gets very tedious for me.
What I enjoy the most is watching hundreds of units smash against each other in a massive melee and zooming in to watch the carnage.
I know I'm not alone in this, and since Empire: Total War didn't have a console I was able to use Cheat Engine to give myself money. The problem I now face is that Shogun 2's campaign is attached to other players if you have certain options set on. Since it seems that you can automatically set your single player game to be a multiplayer one, I'm worried about using Cheat Engine and getting myself VAC Banned.
I'm curious, has anybody tried using Cheat Engine on Shogun 2 yet? If so, did everything go OK? If not, does anybody know if it would be safe to use it?
Obviously, I'm not going to use it in Multiplayer as I dislike using it in multiplayer strategy games. Instead, I'm only looking to use it in singleplayer.
Thanks

I tried it today and it worked fine, just do as you would normally and it gave me the amount of money I wanted, which in this case was 100000000 koku. By the way if you still want to earn the achievements simply close cheat engine once you get the amount of money you wanted. This enables the achievements again. Hope I helped!!!

Ive been trying to get to a few variables to change them but so far the only thing ive been able to get into was the money and the points generals and specialist have to spend. Otherwise ive gotten into the amount of food surplus you have but it isnt a value that stays the same so you would have to get into whatever writes to that variable.
What i want to get to is the percentage bonus you have towards "The Arts" or just the number of turns it takes to learn them. Anyone know what to search for to find those? Im still new to cheat engine, if anything an advanced guide would be helpful

I was able to change the XP the generals get and found what writes to that and the number of "talent points" they have but im not sure on how to read the assembly language. The generals addresses are different every time so to make a one click editor you need the instruction that writes to those. Also im not sure on how to find what your currently selecting. Nevertheless you can search for the Generals XP by simply looking for the amount he has total. 5/20 XP is 25, 10/60 is 70. Easy to change that and the amount of talents he has.
Any Help would be appreciated

Try to check what is accessing to the XP when you click on your generals. Maybe you will find a code which is accessing to the selected unit's XP. That would be very helpful to you I guess.

| I whould like to point out that VAC is a delayed ban if it is triggerd, so for all that you know you are already tagged for a ban but it is waiting. But then again you are talking about singleplayer.

Using trainers won't really give you a ban, only online hacks or anything that modify the .dll will trigger a vac ban. I once use a trainer when I have a steamed Borderland game and never gotten banned, and that was a long time ago when borderland's was good.
I'm waiting for a trainer that can give me unlimited skill points, money, 1 turn construction, mastery of the arts, and recruitment an instant level up cheat.

| So far all ive been able to see is what writes to the address to add XP. I need a way to just say give XP to selected target. But before that im trying to figure out how to add XP by changing the code in the disassembler instead of just changing the value of the XP after ive found it.
