After found the address, i changed the value, but the gold in game wont be edited

im mentioning Facebook game
that is a chinese game

im not advertising game here
i found the address through 4 bytes
after editing, the game itself wont be edited even i buy or build anything
i mean even i start the game, the value remain

is there anything i mistake or the game is protected?
