if you haven't see the demo go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8U8elUE3yI4&feature=player_embedded
does anybody know if the multiplayer demo for PC is free or not?
it looks pretty epic to me, in fact i think it even better than MW2 and BO
also, is it true that the system requirements for Crysis 2 is actually lower than the original Crysis released about 4 years ago?
now I have to debate wether save up $500 for a 120Hz 3D monitor + nVidia 3D glasses kit or get a top of the line video card. what do you guys think?

Since anything 3d pretty much gives me a headache, I'd go the video card route.

I have played the beta and it is running very smoothly on my old comp, far better than Crysis: Warhead and maybe slightly better than Crysis. However this also means that the graphic is not better in Crysis 2. At least it doesn't seem so epic for me after Crysis.
It will easily run if You were able to play Crysis or even Warhead.

actually tht only happens if the 3D effect is trying to "throw" something out of the screen, which ur eyes have to adjust its focal length. and yes that does give you a bad headache if you do this for long periods of time.
but if the 3D effect is trying to simulate a window where things happen inside the screen with large field of depth rather than things popping out, ur eyes wont have to adjust its focal length as much, thus you can enjoy the 3d experience for hours

Great compliment there, that's a little like saying "Your girlfriend's hot, she might even be better looking than Susan Boyle and Rosie Odonnal!"
If the system requirements are lower than Crysis 1, it tells me not that Crysis 2's graphics are inferior, but that the same hardware will produce better frame rates in 2 than in 1, even when the graphic quality is the same.
If you're going to spend 500 dollars, spend it on a bunch of upgrades, the best choice will vary depending on your current specs. Post them, I'll give a recommendation.
I'm pretty sure that 3D baloney will only be worth it if you already have a top end video card.

I have been playing the multiplayer demo on PC and the graphics are great and the gameplay is even better. I haven't put the specs on hardcore yet, I only put them on advanced and I get great frame rates. Gamer, advanced and hardcore are the modes available.

I'm inclined to believe that (after playing the demo) the graphics in the demo are not as good as waht they will be in the full game. There is little to no difference between the three settings. Your computer will have no difficulty playing the demo on "hardcore" at 60+fps.

Yea i figured they'd have better settings in the full game. Like more custom settings anyway. I'm only using my GTX 275 and it runs great.
I just played on hardcore and it was smooth as ever. Great frames and great looking. Touche sir.

i've tried other online multiplayer FPS before (combat armz, soldier front, war rock, cross fire)and most of them are referred to as "Free2Play"
yeah its free to play untill u keep getting owned by addicts that actually spends $$$$ to buy over powered weapons. and most of the time you dont even keep the weapon forever its just for a limited time untill you have to buy it again.......
only TRUE online FPS are worthwhile to play such as counter-strike,cod ,TF2 and crysis

Doesn't work with 5.1 / 7.1 headsets.
Not as in it doesn't play 5.1 or 7.1, it doesn't play sound at all if you're using a 5.1 or 7.1 headset.
