Like, how would you know what happens once you're dead?
And what if you know that life would suck completely for the whole ride?

Theres no particular reason in the individualist sense they shouldn't. In the collective and decency sense, regards for others emotions, understanding that theres such things as friends, and deciding to stay strong and try to make something of it all are usually ok.
