I'm not sure what the power supply is on the 570f either. I believe it's less than 500W. I don't know very much about computer hardware, which is why I'm buying a pre-build desktop in the first place.

They most likely will, but JESUS FUCK that is one pricey machine.
Have you considered something from http://www.ibuypower.com/ ?
I think you could get something better there...

| Yes it will, but you could build that rig for a fraction of the price.

Is the price really that bad for everything it offers? Also, I've never heard of ibuypower. I tried to configure a computer with similar features, and the price was only about $30 lower. I probably did something wrong though.
Hero, when you say a fraction of the price, how much are you talking about? $300 or more less than what I'm paying? Based on all of the computers I looked it, this one seemed to offer the most for the lowest price, in terms of what I'm looking for. Is building my own really that much cheaper/better?

ibuypower is more like iwastemoney. Its not that hard to build your own rig, just give it a try. No need to hesitate since you can RMA anything you buy for the first like, month. PLus things come with 3 year warranty on many things you will buy.
By fraction, you could only have to pay half. Plus for the same price as this rig, you could get better parts.

You're buying a 1.2k prebuilt?
And it doesn't have onboard USB 3.0?
Fuck serious, that's not even necessarily a good comp. 10x overkill than what /anybody/ needs, and you can build a similar if not better for ~$700 or less.
I currently have Phenom II x6, 5870 (better than the 6770, which is on your prebuilt), 4GB 1600MHz (which is more than enough anyway, 8GB is overkill and I mean that from the bottom of my heart), and a 60GB SSD for boot, and I did it for a whooooole lot less than 1.2k.

Would it make more sense to make the 1.5TB drive a storage drive, and then install the OS to the SSD?
Also, I've changed my mind about the computer. It probably is far too powerful for anything I'm going to do anyway. I've found a similar model for only $950(still pricey, I know) with a less powerful processor, and a smaller HDD.

^Here's what I have now. ^
I added an SDD, just to see my total cost. Will I still be alright on power? I think I remember reading that the HPE 510f only has a 300W power supply.Sorry if any of these questions seem dumb. As I said before, I know very little about hardware.

| Um, alright. I'm sitting here with my new PC, the SSD, and the USB 3.0 adapter, and I can't figure out how to connect them. I removed the metal slot for the pcie card, and have plugged it into the slot, but there isn't anywhere to connect it to power. The same with the SSD. It's all thick white plugs labeled P2, P3, and what not, the outlets on the SSD don't even look remotely similar. What am I supposed to do to hook them up?

Mind linking us to the SSD/USB card?

So u saying the PCIE isnt working? cause u dont need to connect a pcie card to any power. it is powered by motherboard. the SSD should have the same interface as your HDD. Just take out the plug from hdd and hook it up to the SSD. But if you are trying to use it while using the SSD. show us picture of the inside of the CASE please. dunno how to do it

I don't know if it works because I can't hook it up. It comes with a cable, one end plugs into the actual card, and it has two other ends that I have no idea what to do with. The SSD is going to be my boot drive, and the 1.5TB drive is going to be my storage drive. Again, I see no way to hook it up. It's all white 4 pronged plugs, instead of ATA, or whatever it's called.
To view the case, search HPE 510f on Newegg, and look at the pictures. It shows inside the case, with great detail, and you have the ability to zoom. The link is really long though, and I'm not even supposed to be posting links.
