I used the pandora battery (ultimate sapphire if I remember), that would let me either boot, or hold L to go to the pandora battery menu. How do I return this battery back to normal, put the required files back into the memory stick, then turn it back into pandora battery? I have one working psp 1000 with 3.73 M33 that I do NOT want updated (because of this), and a semi bricked psp 2000 with unknown firmware (custom firmware, but I don't know which).
Basically reinstall it.

| Well it seems unnecessary to change the battery back to normal then back to pandora. if you just format the memory stick, the psp should work fine and wont update unless you tell it to

This.
Also, why the fuck would you want to return? The PSP Scene is the best of all I've ever messed with. So much quality homebrew/emulators.

I already have a pandora battery and I love the psp scene but I kinda left it in late 2009 to late 2010
my lap slim is semi bricked and I cant use hellcats
I used it on my 1000 and it worked but my 2000, after running /psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp it just stays a black lit screen. also I am only able to access the recovery menu when I have the psp slim battery. if I pj the 1000 battery in the screen stays OFF
