That's not true, 360 fail rates are still plenty higher. Protip: YLoD isn't broken. True failure rate among PS3s is super small. 360s still RRoD, albeit extremely less often.

Yeah the manufacturing has improved so it's not something to really worry about anymore.
If you use it primarily for games and you're on a tight budget, PS3 is the way to go because of the jailbreak. The ability to get any game for the price of one.
The difference between the two versions of black ops is a negligent price in exchange for the ability to backup games. Plus I don't think the 360 can output 1080p in games. AND you get a blu-ray player, and a much better controller.
If you're worried about it overheating, just get an intercooler. The slim PS3 does get pretty hot. If you point a fan at it, make sure to point it at the front and not the back (the surface may seem cooler, but inside all the hot air is being pushed back in).

The statistic I found included, YLoD and Blu Ray diodes failing etc. vs Xbox 360 failure rates.
@ipvb, xbox can upscale to 1080p. Also most mulri-platform games run in 720p on xbox and 680p on ps3.

Do you even know what upscaling is?
Also, only like two games run in 680p, Bioshock and GTA4. Maybe there's a handful of others, but 90% of games run in 720p or higher. Then there are a few that run in 480p, but those are games where graphics aren't really paramount.

It's a good reason though.
The thread is about which version of cod is better, and I don't know much about that.
It's true my opinions are subjective. I like the Dual Shock controller because it's what I grew up with. I'd rather get a PS3 because I love Ratchet and Clank.
As an objective opinion, the PS3 is newer and has more processing power.

A $300 GPU will be able to max out new games for another few years, even though it won't be strictly "top-of-the-line."
